Included in this package is the Mini-Tuner, home docking station, protective cover, weather-proof home antenna with 20 feet of cable, and a 6 foot cable for plug-and-play connection. Upgrades: You can also to include a 50 foot or 100 foot cable extension. The 50 foot extension allows you to install an XM antenna as far as 72.5 feet from the receiver. The 100 foot extention goes as far as 122.5 feet from the receiver. What is XM Ready? If a home entertainment product is labeled as XM Ready, it means that product has everything you need to play XM once you connect the XM Mini-Tuner Package. What other accessories do I need to make my XM Ready system work? You will need the XM Mini-Tuner with Home Dock. The Mini-Tuner works with any compatible “XM Ready” stereo that the Mini-Tuner Home Dock can plug into. The supplied antenna comes with 20 feet of cable attached to the antenna. If you need a longer antenna cable we offer upgrades for 50 feet, 100 feet and kits for custom lengths, which allow users to place their Mini-Tuner antenna wherever is optimal for reception and convenience in the home. How is the Mini-Tuner different from XM Connect and Play Antenna? You can carry Mini-Tuner passport wherever you go and integrate your subscription to any compatible “XM Ready” device. The home docking station enables users to listen to XM programming by simply connecting it to their home stereo. The home docking station is essential for anyone wanting to max out the full potential of the Mini-Tuner. Why is the Home Docking Station important? With the home dock, you can connect the mini-tuner to any “XM Ready” stereo that was compatible with the Connect-&-Play Antenna. Without the home dock or a Mini-Tuner compatible unit, the Mini-Tuner will not be able to be activated. Is there a separate subscription required with the Mini-Tuner? Because the Mini-Tuner is an XM receiver, it does require activation and a subscription fee, currently $12.95 per month if it is the first XM receiver on an account.
